WiggleWoo's Word Quest — Effective May 9, 2026
WiggleWoo's Word Quest is a reading app designed for young children and built to meet the requirements of Apple's Kids Category and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This page explains, in plain language, what happens to data when your child plays.
The short version
We don't collect anything. The app never sends your child's name, email, photos, location, voice, or any personal information to us or to anyone else. There are no user accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking.
What stays on the device
To make the game work — remember which word your child is on, which trophies they've earned, and which accessibility settings are enabled — the app stores progress data in your device's local browser storage. That data never leaves the device. You can erase it at any time by tapping the Reset All Data button inside the parent dashboard, or by clearing your browser's site data.
Examples of what's stored locally:
- Which quest, vowel, and word your child is currently on
- Star ratings earned for words completed
- Trophies and outfits unlocked
- Discovery room facts viewed
- Accessibility preferences (dyslexia font, slow phonemes, etc.)
Things we do not do
- We do not create user accounts or collect names, emails, or passwords.
- We do not show advertising — first-party or third-party.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Facebook, or any other analytics or tracking service.
- We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- We do not request microphone, camera, contacts, or location access.
- We do not share, sell, or transmit any information about your child.
Third-party services
The app's audio, images, and fonts are all bundled with the app and served from our own domain (wigglewoo.app). The only external service we use is our web host, which delivers the app's files to your browser and sees standard request logs (IP address, timestamp) the same way any website does. Our host does not track users across sites or show advertising.
COPPA compliance
The app is directed at children. Because we do not collect any personal information from children (as defined by COPPA at 16 CFR Part 312), no parental consent mechanism is required. If you have questions about your child's privacy while using the app, please contact us using the information below.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what data the app handles, we will update this page and note the effective date at the top. If a future change involves collecting personal information from children, we will request verifiable parental consent in compliance with COPPA before doing so.
